KAILUABOUND FIELD GUIDE

Three days. No need to rush.

A flexible Kailua itinerary with one main idea each day.

Morning walk on Lanikai Beach overlooking the Mokulua Islands
Leave room for an unhurried beach morning.

Day 1 · Get your bearings

Start with breakfast and a walk at Kailua Beach. Spend a little time in town, then choose a relaxed lunch. Use the afternoon to settle in rather than making it your longest activity day.

Keep it flexible: If you arrive late, shorten the day to a meal and a shoreline walk.

Day 2 · Make room for the water

Choose a guided paddle, an introductory paddleboarding session, or a beach day according to your experience and the conditions. Book only after understanding the route, equipment, and cancellation terms. Leave the afternoon open for lunch and a rest.

Keep it flexible: Swap this day with Day 3 if conditions make the ocean plan unsuitable. Don’t substitute an unfamiliar offshore route just to keep a booking.

Day 3 · A slower look at Kailua

Take time for the Lanikai shoreline, local shops, and a meal you’ve been looking forward to. Leave a generous buffer before driving to your next stop or heading to the airport.

Keep it flexible: Enjoy the view from shore if swimming or paddling isn’t suitable.
